Haven't posted in a while, also a bit about God/power/love etc
I recently was talking with a person about the idea that homosexuals, no matter how good, will go to hell… I was not arguing with this person, not directly. He mentioned that God cannot be all loving and punish good people at the same time. However, I viewed it as a linear thought pattern.
Maybe God can be all loving and punish those who are good. We just cannot judge that love on the same parameters as is often viewed in society. But rather a warped view of love, a psychopathic kind of love. In the same way a killer would love the person he kills, though it lacks logic in the traditional sense, love is ambiguous to say the least and the form of expressing it is different between people. That said it is still wrong to kill the ones you love (Lesson one kids).
But perhaps he was all loving only in one time period, I could be all loving tomorrow and not the next day however for that day if someone wanted to write about me they would describe me as all loving.
Maybe the concept of love can be changed once again, like how a person may love the game WoW, so does god love the game of civilisation where empires rise and fall, people live and die, creation and destruction live simultaneously and the only way to survive is to become peons in his army.
But it is also the interoperation of humans that has developed this “all-loving” persona which I do not particularly believe is even a trait described properly in the text. All that is clear is that he is all powerful and does things upon a exchange basis. Follow this and I will do X, do not and I will do Y. Count the numerous times he has severely punished people for not obeying him, not only that but has even stricken innocent people down, slaves even as if they were simply a commodity which in those days were, they were side characters, unimportant, God cared for the ones who lead or owned the slaves. Think back to the last time you punished someone you truly loved so harshly just for disobeying a single request or in God’s case a demand.
From what I’ve seen God is so utterly flawed just as a human is that it is no wonder it is written we were made in Gods image. He’s attention hoarding, proud and sociopathic. And in all honesty, why shouldn’t he? The concepts of the sanctity of life, fairness, honesty and love were created by humans by living in a world where death occurs and pain is just as common as the pleasures of life. A God who has not known any fear of death, experienced no loss and no pain cannot understand no matter how all knowing. Essentially the concept of God is a human released from the things that plague us in this world, a human with ultimate power who wishes others to stroke his ego (You shall have no other Gods before me) yet gives them free will so that his game becomes much more interesting.
This was also in response to a comment about Christians who help people regardless of their sexuality of religion yet still believe that they would go to hell no matter how good they are. When truly having faith in it’s existence you have no choice but to obey, the best thing you can do is support the “supposed enemy” while not directly going against your ruler, especially since the ruler advocates it to a degree, no sense in the game ending too soon right?
Humans are more compassionate and beautiful than most people think. We have our minds warped by those in power. And this time I’m not talking about God. I’m talking about the Church and the evolution of power that eventually overtook it inheriting the values displayed.
When Christianity rose to such a degree of power that it became paired with the state, owning the Church was owning the power over the whole domain. You could eliminate anything you did not agree with and when asked to atone for these crimes you could simply point to that all mighty power that no one could touch yet all believed could erase them completely in an instant. No one dared oppose as they did not know any better.
In the end, it was power that corrupted the ones who had it and caused a ripple through time that is still echoing through to today. Power is what truly corrupts, not faith, not God. The power people had before allowed them to warp the views of a hundred generations seeding it’s methods into it’s partner which now has birthed the corporations and governments, having the right to deny anything just as the church has done before them.
Humans will help each other, they care, but being forced into believing that they own anything and they should be selfish. They do not help, rationalising it as if they are living in their own fantasy world where hard work gets you places and people get what they deserve. Protecting their things, not knowing that we only keep them because we are allowed to, at any moment it can all be taken from us and we’d be none the wiser. Because once you reach that immunity from the difficulties of life and have power to change the world around you not for the better but in your own twisted vision you truly lose sympathy. That’s why it’s called a God complex.
For a month I felt like I was missing something, whenever I log onto the computer I feel like there’s something I forgot to check. And just today I realised I hadn’t come onto tumblr for ages.
I just smoked some weed right now and remembered. Funny how for me it seems to increase long term memory retrieval. So anyway I had so much to write about, views on what has happened even though most people will not care unless it agrees with their view.
I just recently started going to an academy to study game art, animation and VFX.
Questing The most awesome thing you can do in everyday life
I started working part time with my dad. Building offices and such, it’s a good job and give you a workout with good pay. But the best part about the job is putting on the tool belt with the buckle at the front because that’s when it all starts. I have my hammer to the side, and pouches behind me, like a ninja or some sort of game character. Even when not working I find a way to make things fun, not for other people but for me, I live one world in while other people are affected and I live another one augmented on top. But it’s especially interesting at work.
So when I got my belt I imagined a sound effect with text saying “tool belt acquired”
Not only that but you pass by things that make it even more like a game, like searching for certain tools or materials, the second I say ok another text goes “Quest added”
And I get a lot of EXP by the end of the say to which I reflect back and learn new skills. From simple things like light stepping to avoid hazards, to ingenuity with ladders.
But it didn’t really hit me until today when they added doors, but they didn’t add handles or holes to open them and I had to go find something that was in three possible locations. So I navigated around and found what I was looking for, then I walked down to where the door was only from the other side so now could open it finding a quicker route back.
The second I did it I though “Area unlocked ‘Corridors’”
I know it might sound boring, but I’m easily amused. And that’s when I thought it be fun for todays gaming culture if there was an app that tracked quest data, exp, stats and inventory (optional).
This is just for shits and giggles, but I’d love to have an app like that.
But then, as I usually do with these kinds of seeds of thoughts. I took it either nearly or way too far. But this is just hypothetical.
Have a device that does these things. Register yourself and give yourself limited base stats. The device would have GPS that can be activated like a homing becon only it will give a quest icon, when highlighted will display basic information of the quest, I was thinking it would be cool to have everything on the GPS save the quest icons invisible until you walk to new areas then adding that part of the map to your index.
People who want things to be done for them can add a quest into the system and then activate whenever they feel comfortable, showing their position so that questers can come and ask about it. Rewards can be posted, as object or possible a paypal payment system, or credits to the system should something be available for them.
Different templates can be used for different people, that being hobbies. Like a parkour practitioner for example will not require the same template as say a geocacher. Levels will be related to their specific occupation and can have multiple ones for different hobbies as well as a basic one for the majority of people. I suppose slightly custom ones can be used.
And if you ask me, what’s the point in levels in this kind of game, I must ask, what’s the point of World of Warcraft. To show off your levels, but instead of something innate, it’s gained by helping real people.
Even if it isn’t used in everyday life I think it would be a hit at conventions.
It’s new year here and we all missed the count down. But no one gave a fuck because we were alerted of the new year by Sydneys fireworks. I felt like such a nerd looking at the fireworks thinking that the explosions looked like microbes and sub-atomic particles.
I need to take a break from watching The Big Bang theory.
1900s-The beginning of innovation, world fairs, radios etc
1920s-Gangsters, mafias, underground buisnesses
1950s-Creation of the perfect family concept (middle class ruling)
1960s-Hippies, peace and love, fighting against the system
1970s-Disco beginning of nerdom
1980s-Rock bands, general insanity (see “Hair, make up, clothing etc”)
1990s-electronic music, Boy bands, Grunge, gaming consoles used more widely (ps1 nintendo)
2000- epic unity rave music (Public Domain, Darude)
2001 to now- terrorism and ???
I noticed on the radio the host said, “Playing the best from the 80s 90s and now” and it made me think, what defines the last decade, in fact it’s not even considered the last decade. How many of you feel that were still between 2000-2010? That past decade was to say the least, utterly chaotic. The only thing that defined it was terrorism. Seriously where the fuck did we go? The past decade was a decade of hate and insanity, hating people of a certain ethnicity, hating of musicians, movies, politics, restricted freedom, apathy. World War III has started and is still being fought today. Every country is involved in fighting against one another, not physically or at least not most of the time. The fight has been taken to the internet a product of our own era of innovation. It has been taken to the streets of the OWS movement, it has been taken into the cities where people commit massacres in name of there own beliefs which they only selectively understand mutating it in their own minds to agree with their actions. And finally it has been taken into countries whose people are given false promises of a better future.
History is repeating itself, things will collapse, criminal gangs will start running more and more of peoples lives, people who come to them to escape the governments grasp upon their freedom, a depression will happen and a physical world war (WWIV) will break out and after we will think it’s the people and not the government who will change, we will create an ideal so rigid thinking that we know best in a futile attempt to prevent this disaster from happening again, the next generation will see this folly and rebel against it, preaching the same thing that we should of already have listened to but are too thick headed to understand, peace.
The world will change again slowly becoming more relaxed and optimistic until we try to take advantage of that again and thus the cycle will begin once more.
We are going to repeat this process because we are too afraid to break out from our fear of every living and truly help one another, to accept one another and finally end this battle between kin that has been going on since the dawn of man.
this is embarrassing.. but i get a free bottle every time someone buys one at mangoaff725(dõt)com and these things work better than crack. i friggin lost 15lbs in 2 weeks.. try them. they seriously work like crazy.
REALLY! I’m gonna try that right now! Here’s my life savings!
US citizens of all political persuasions are still reeling from images of unparallelled police brutality in a coordinated crackdown against peaceful OWS protesters in cities across the nation this past week. An elderly woman was pepper-sprayed in the face; the scene of unresisting, supine students at UC Davis being pepper-sprayed by phalanxes of riot police went viral online; images proliferated of young women – targeted seemingly for their gender – screaming, dragged by the hair by police in riot gear; and the pictures of a young man, stunned and bleeding profusely from the head, emerged in the record of the middle-of-the-night clearing of Zuccotti Park.
my parents actually have a time subscription I think, so i'll be eventually reading that issue. i'll have to see what garbage they're trying to peddle about anxiety because there really isn't any way you can spin anxiety into something positive, other than a fight or flight mechanism...
What I expect is a bunch of scientific quotes that are spun in a different way in order to convince the public that this anxious feeling that they are getting what with the country going to hell, is a good thing. Not to mention steering the public eye away from it so that they become good little workers convinced that everything is ok and that they shouldn’t do anything about their feelings because it’s “good for them”.
That’s how you keep the public under your thumb, make them focus on themselves instead of what’s happening out there. We are a self absorbed species, but we can only be so self absorbed before we finally do what’s right and we are nearing that threshold little by little every day.
Not only do I love your blog ( heh found it ) but I also am secretly infatuated with you. K. here we go I got this idea from a spam msg I received on Facebook lol.. I know you like me but were always way too shy to say so :3 go hit up crushmasher(dót)com (uhh it wont let me do a regular link) then make an acct there. Search for the profile 'justmeandu33' ( obv me ) I posted body pix.. if u can figure out who I am msg me and we'll kick it. CC required for age but it is free. (annoying i know)
This what the world needs more of. More random love. Even if it’s fake and copy/pasted. Kinda gives you a nice feeling.
Or maybe they messaged me because they thought I was alone. Oh… Oh God! *sob* WHY INTERNET, WHY MUST YOU TORMENT ME SO!
What the hell, I didn’t even hear about this till today?! The American government is holding hears about installing a censorship system which will in time censor Tumblr and Facebook for it’s free speech just like China.
Reblog this if you still want to use tumblr in the future.
Gather ‘round children for I now will explain to you the trick to being a good president.
As you know the presidents job is not to wield power but to draw attention away from it. You have sponsors and corporate figures that tell you to do things and they are the real ones in power. But you can’t do the opposite of what you promised the people at least not obviously otherwise they’ll see through the façade.
So how do you do what the big guys want but at the same time make sure the people don’t know that they are in charge?
Well it’s simple. So simple that it has gone unnoticed for years.
You see when a president comes into office, they come into office with a bunch of different promises. Promises of this and that.
What you have to do then is pick a promise, a small promise, something that won’t affect the big guys too much. Then you keep that one promise. That one small promise and because of that people think you can actually do something.
Then when it comes to the big promises you can do whatever your boss wants you to do. The people will be confused then because they saw that you can do what you promise but in reality you can’t.
Like a magician making someone disappear. It such a wonderful trick.
That’s why Obama is one of the most successful presidents in history, because he is the first black president, people think he can do things without being constrained by the system. Not to mention trying to do things that seem like he has power but relying on the opposing power to make it seem like he can’t.
Bush needed to promote fear of terrorism to distract the people and got the P.A.T.R.I.O.T. act passed because of it. This is why I regard him the second most successful president, maybe even tied with Obama as they complimented each other so much. What with the blame being put on one implying he had real power.
And in Australia there’s Julia Gillard who perpetuates the same fodder while blind-siding her people with her femininity.
All in all what your getting is the same shit in a different wrapper. Saying things are going to be different to people with such short attention spans that after 3-4 years they’ve forgotten that every one before them promised the same thing and so few have delivered or none at all.
“An “anti-something” movement displays a purely negative attitude. It has no chance whatever to succeed. Its passionate diatribes virtually advertise the program that they attack. People must fight for something that they want to achieve, not simply reject an evil, however bad it may be. They must, without any reservations, endorse the program of the market economy.”—
First, to give you a background on what i’m about to post, there is a site at osixs.org that provides the message that I believe the OWS movement will eventually rally behind. They are step one, providing a petition to take advantage of the nuclear option our founding fathers provided to us in the…
This is an invitation to all interested Vermonters to participate in a conference call about our relationship to federal, state and local government. Are our best interests acted upon on a state and federal level? If not, where is our power to amend policy to benefit the good of all? This conference call will be held approximately once a week and at varying times to allow for maximum access by people with different schedule demands. It is called The People’s Power Talk. Times, dates and access numbers will be submitted to the calendar section of local newspapers. As an artist and independent activist, I am interested in a profoundly peaceful sea change for mutual respect of our planet, of our people in community, and I believe I am not alone in feeling that the powers assumed by government, particularly at the federal level, have exceeded the authority the people wish to grant to them.
What is the people’s authority? These questions and more are what I want your help to answer. Our first call will be held Tuesday evening, Nov. 1, from 7 to 8 p.m. The conference telephone number is 218-237-0330. To access the conference itself dial the access code with the # symbol: 541119#. The topic is banking and the Occupy Wall Street movement. We will begin with a reading of Article 1 of our state Constitution.
The People’s Power Talk is open to Vermonters of all ages and walks of life and will be recorded. Participation is limited to 96. Look in your calendar section for future calls and topics. Industrial hemp, alternative healing versus health care by for-profit concerns, public banking, unfunding war, self-sustainability, corporate/political reality, restrictions of personal freedoms, sovereignty and the authority of the people are topics you can expect to discuss.
(For those who seek a serious discussion about the issue.)
If you’ve been reading this regularly you’ll noticed I’ve been reblogging posts from Dmajlak, specifically about the OWS. I reblog him because I find his arguments, well thought out and logical. More than that, he displays a drive and genuine annoyance towards things that a “sentient” human should.
One should not feel anger that there is a corrupt power, but that the people do not fight it.
I find him annoyed at the peoples lack of willingness to act and their constant need to throw themselves into a dream of what ifs and ideal outcomes that they cannot think logically and find an achievable outcome.
I am not an American, so there is little I can do. But I find it odd that people don’t discuss what Occupying Wall Street is about. They do, but the discussions are ambiguous at best. It’s more loud angry yelling and whining about how poor they are.
I looked it up some time ago because someone should always know about the subject before they take a side and before they run their mouth.
I am a supporter of OWS but not for the same reasons as most people. For most people it’s about money and if you’ve already read my bit about it, you’ll know money is worthless.
My main reason for the support is one of power and the need to remove corporations and banks from politics. As long as the corporate giants are connected to politics, anything resembling democracy cannot exist. This is because the ones with more money and power will always influence and pressure politicians to favour them when passing laws, with support, bribes (campaign sponsor money) and threats (removal of sponsorship).
The second point is the widening gap between the rich and the middle class. People in the middle class are not poor, I’ve seen many people mocking the 99% quote, by saying they have everything they need… Everything they need “now”.
Now is not the issue though, the issue is the future. The gap is growing, you can see it for yourself and it doesn’t matter how you feel now. The gap will grow and grow until the entire population can be bought by one man, it’s then freedom will stop dead in it’s tracks.
But maybe it’s not all bad, maybe a collapse of democracy is what’s needed for people to really appreciate it. Maybe the people have to experience a period of corporate dictatorship in order to know what the have taken for granted and have so willingly given away through apathy. Then maybe the people will revolt against it and rectify this mistake.
My last and least important point by far (By the way it’s also the point of the movement) is to hold the ones responsible for the global financial situation accountable.
The reason I say it’s unimportant is because at this the time the people that should face legal repercussions are untouchable and honestly it’s not a big priority.
The first two deal with power in the long term and the last point deals in short-lived justice. Taking corporations out of politics and bridging the gap will make it harder for the richest of the people to influence the direction of politics. So you see what will work better for the people in the end. However if some punishment was dealt that could aid the first two in some way it would be a great convenience.
Now for my last part.
I went on the site www.themultitude.org that was written in Dmajlaks post and found myself so filled with contempt that if I had facepalmed I would have broken my nose.
This was the first topic I read, one of the more replied to ones, after which I couldn’t bring myself to read another. I’m sure there are good points, but they are only points. The solutions presents really irritate me.
The one who wrote that set out a list of things that need to be done, including passing 4 laws like it was something you go to do at the post office. Not to mention other things that cannot be done in an instant as well as issues of controversy that the writer seems to think is so easily passable it can be done in a weekend with absolutely no possibly repercussions.
If he’s serious, he is a hopeless fool who knows nothing about the sheer difficulty of his plan. If he’s not and he’s simply musing a perfectly impossible situation, then he is a impotent dreamer that is hindering the cause he’s supporting by convincing others to chase fairies.
I can’t say I have a plan, my knowledge is still limited, however the fact that so many people cannot see the clear flaws in their own plan is simply appalling.
Did you know that if you die in your dreams… You don’t die in real life.
I actually died in a dream once and didn’t wake up.
What happened was that I got shot by a guy carrying a revolver, possibly a magnum. All I know was it was shiny and had a big barrel, which one wouldn’t look big to a person staring down into it.
I was on my knees in execution style and I was feeling rather indifferent to the situation. More annoyed than anything.
Don’t ask me why he shot me, I have no idea myself, maybe I owed him some dream money, or saw his dream crime. Whatever. The point is I got shot and I didn’t die.
I can recall the feelings vividly. It didn’t feel like a hot piece of metal was ramming into my face, but rather my face was getting pulled into itself. I also felt like a was moving forward, probably I was falling, but everything was quite dark so I wasn’t sure.
But instead of hitting the floor I went through it and I sat up on the other side. Literally moving to the other side, if I was laying face down I fell through and was laying face up. So there I was sitting up in what I assumed was the afterlife.
I’ll tell you what that second part felt like. It felt like coming out of a shallow pool of skin temperature water that was somehow dry and you could somehow still breath in. When sitting up I felt I could take a breath and keep inhaling indefinitely like I would never be out of breath.
I also felt weightless, but not an odd kind like going down an elevator but like a world of weight has been lifted off my shoulders. You know that feeling sometimes when you walking and you could almost swear you’re wearing some kind of bag. It’s like taking that bag off.
So there I am, dead. And what do I see around myself? A void.
All around me was blackness, not darkness, but blackness. You might think of it as a simple black image, but it was not. It had depth, you could see that it went on forever, you could tell how far a point was away from you with nothing but yourself for orientation. It just kept going and going.
I could clearly see myself which suggested there was light here, but this place was so infinitely big that it had nothing to bounce the light back.
You might think this sounds horrible and dreadful. But in truth, it was pleasant. It was just myself.
I got up and started to walk, I looked around. It was interesting to see nothing, like sightseeing but with no sights. I didn’t feel hungry, scared, lonely or sad.
I couldn’t feel anything but contentedness. I was ok with everything, I remembered my family, my friends the ones I left behind but all I felt was ok with it.
I walked for about 10 minutes or so, looking around feeling fine like I didn’t have a care in the void. Then I woke up, so softly that it was like a very light breeze blew a mist from my eyes.
I laid there and sighed content.
I don’t think I could properly describe how it felt. Like having every hindrance, weight, pain and worry vanish from your being.
It was the best dream I had ever had, and I died in it.
OccupyWallSt.org for a few weeks was very energizing and exciting. I have recently been participating on the forums, and am slowly starting to walk away with less and less. It feels to me as if the only real movement happening is with those who are physically out there doing the work, as those on…
Perfect. It’s a word we use and misuse a lot. We call a lot of things perfect, though we have changed its meaning. It’s no longer what it used to mean and the meaning has be substituted with “Really good”.
Of course it doesn’t mean that.
It’s an objective term and therefore cannot work in a subjective context. Someone cannot look perfect, because aesthetics are purely subjective. What perfect is, is maximum efficiency.
Think of a clock, it needs all it’s parts to function, the lack of even one cog or bolt renders the clock useless and having an extra cog or bolt renders it redundant.
This means it has reached it’s highest plateau. Which is why it cannot be attributed to looks.
We are not perfect creatures, which is a great advantage and we should be proud of this. A car that is comprised of all the necessary pieces finely tuned to achieve it’s perfection, will still lose to a car that is not as efficient but is comprised of parts with more power.
If you change the efficient cars parts to make it faster it is no longer perfect until tuned. And after that if you change another part you much polish it again to perfection.
So you see perfection is not something to be sought, it’s something to be overcome, it’s a limitation, that’s why humans should be a proudly imperfect race, as we can evolve and change to go above and beyond our limitations.
Our imperfections are a gift of limitless potential and should not be wasted or ignored. They should be embraced for what they are, a personal component that lets us reach new heights.
Think of histories greatest people, most you would have known had some sort of problem, but through that they achieved a new plateau in their field. Steven Hawkings, Beethoven, Tesla, Picasso, Cobain. Each has some sort of imperfection that caused them to go beyond what people could dream of.
This is what perfection is. It’s a flimsy wall that tell you that you cannot go further, simply run through it… Or around it, whatever you find more comfortable.
I got my book to 50,000 words, i’m just shy of finishing off the storyline by about 3 chapters, I still have to insert my random storyline plot which makes me think of this old DirectX7 game programming quest wheel… I wonder if I can use that for this book… that…
Now I think I should talk about fighting. Not violence, but fighting in it’s specific form.
You all have probably heard that fighting is wrong, or that fighting is horrible in some way and is never in any way good.
Fighting is a useful and effective tool at strengthening friendships if used properly. I’ve had a few friendships strengthened after a good scrap, not to mention new friendships I’ve gained through it.
It lets people get their aggressions out and afterwards you’re left with a great deal of respect for the other person, especially if they’ve matched your moves. It’s a emotionally intimate thing, not in any sense of what it usually means, but that it breaks down peoples walls so that afterwards they aren’t afraid of losing and apologise for their misdeeds and vice-versa. It is also a tremendous bonding experience that the two involved can reflect on in times past.
It’s a certain feeling people get in that moment after a fight that was started because of emotions. A weightlessness and exhaustion that overflows the person so they no longer feel a need to fight and can just talk.
Now don’t get the wrong idea but think of a couple before and after sex. Before, sex is all what both of them think about. But after the need is no longer present and the two can talk without any inhibitions and are relaxed in doing so.
Fighting is different however in that it’s purpose is communication unlike sex which has a number of uses.
It sounds strange, but it brings the issue to life and breaks down the walls that prevent people from talking. That is, assuming there is no exterior influence, but I’ll get to that in a minute.
Needless to say though there are ways that this can be misused. Such as having a spectacle about it, this causes people to uphold their walls for the sake of others and miss what is really important. There are are moments when it’s not acceptable to fight, however this is mainly because it will become a public matter. A true fight should be private or with as little people around who are neutral to the situation.
That’s why, if your friendship is suffering because of something and neither of you are willing to properly talk about it. Challenge them to a fight, go to a fitness club that specializes in martial arts, put on some gloves and start fighting until you can’t raise your arms any more. Then you two will truly be able to talk about anything in that moment.
I’ve been busy, what with moving to Australia and things concerning school. I have nothing to write or rather I don’t have the time to write up what I’ve been planning so instead I’ll let all of you chill in the classiest way possible.
